Founder & Head Doctor

Dr. Jason Barker grew up in Roxboro, NC. He was an offensive lineman in high school, where he graduated a student-athlete scholar. Once a 270-pound offensive lineman, he sustained a neck injury during a 2004 collegiate football game that left him temporarily paralyzed. Movement in his spine was restored through chiropractic care, which inspired him to earn his Bachelor of Science in Sport Science from Chowan College, followed by a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University. Dr. Barker has advanced training in spinal correction, toxicity, exercise and nutrition from some of the largest health clinics in the country including time spent at the Maximized Living Training Center in Naples, FL. He and his wife, Julie, now live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as founders of Stagecoach Family Chiropractic, A Maximized Living Health Center.

Aspiring to pioneer optimal health in the village of Clemmons and beyond, Dr. Barker is committed to teaching how to achieve true healing through lifestyle choices and the maintenance of a healthy nervous system. Having once been pre-diabetic, overweight, asthmatic, and on high blood pressure medications, his own life was transformed by the 5 Essentials of health that he teaches his patients. Dr. Barker spends countless hours training, studying, and learning the most advanced chiropractic techniques and wellness information to ensure his patients receive the best care possible. He is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), is Webster Technique Certified (for pregnant moms), is WBFJ’s featured HealthExpert on 1550AM. His mission is to help people be free of unnecessary suffering and it propels his passion to serve his community by leading wellness workshops for local businesses, churches, schools, and organizations.

Maximized Living is well-known for being the official chiropractic and performance team doctors for USA Olympic teams, enabling their athletes to achieve optimal performance. Dr. Barker was invited to Rio 2016 to care for USA Wrestling, Weightlifting, and Judo athletes. There, he helped the teams bring home several medals including gold for Olympian, Kyle Snyder. The 5 essentials these athletes use to win medals at the Olympics are the same principles for optimal health and performance that Dr. Barker teaches his patients right here in Clemmons!

Dr. Michael Myers, D.C.

Lead Adjusting Doctor

Dr. Myers has been practicing Chiropractic for almost 20 years. Earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University, he shares the knowledge and techniques of the Spinal Correction philosophy at Stagecoach Family Chiropractic. Prior to joining the Stagecoach Team, Dr. Myers lived and practiced in Miami, Florida with his beautiful family. He has 2 children, a son and a daughter, with which he has adjusted since birth, and is an expert in family wellness care.

His passion is to deliver the utmost in chiropractic care and enable people in our community to gain the health they deserve!

Julie Barker

Julie Barker was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC. She graduated high school at Calvary Baptist Day School, where she proceeded to North Carolina State University to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Mathematics Education. She spent 5 years teaching high school math in Wake County and received her Master of Arts in Mathematics from NCSU while there. During that time she met Dr. Jason Barker, who helped transform her health through the 5 essentials. She decided she wanted to be part of something greater, where people can get natural answers for their healthcare. So, after they got married in May 2014, she spent 6 months with Dr. Barker in specialized training at the Maximized Living Training Center in Naples, Florida. In March 2015, they came to Winston-Salem, North Carolina and founded Stagecoach Family Chiropractic.
Julie serves as Clinic Director at Stagecoach Family Chiropractic. She is passionate about seeing babies, kids and adults experience hope and REAL health through Maximized Living and the 5 Essentials.

Staci Summers

Originally from Lynchburg, VA, Staci came to Winston-Salem in 2012 for college. She is a graduate of High Point University and Piedmont International University with a dual major in Elementary Education. She earned her X-Ray Certification for Spinal Correction in April 2017. Staci is passionate about teaching people of all ages to incorporate the five essentials in their lives to reach their maximum, God-given potential, and is completing her Master’s in Leadership. She is a living testimony of the power of natural healthcare, and inspires people by leading them to do something different for their health. Staci leads Trader Joe’s Tours, to further equip people for healthful lifestyles. In her free time, you can find Staci cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Amy Powell

Scheduling and Accounts Coordinator

Amy is a native of London, England. She recently moved to NC after graduating with a Bachelors in Exercise Science and a Masters in Higher Education of Administration from Tennessee. Amy has always been passionate about healthcare and wellness from her athletic experiences in playing and coaching soccer at college level, as well as teaching wellness classes at the YMCA. She is driven to see people succeed in key growth and development in their health, and is excited to be part of that Stagecoach Family Chiropractic now. Amy enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
